Getting to Know me...

So my first blog Post!!!  WooHoo!!  I must say the thought of starting a blog was a little daunting to me, especially since I'm quite busy anyways, but i thought to myself after appearances on tv and now signing up to do some writing for MomsEveryday i thought it was time.  So here i go on this blogging journey.

As one can see the name of my blog is Tres Thrifty Chic.  Why this?  Well i love to the thrift shop!  I'm legit addicted.  Yes i can go everyday and never tire and almost always find something to purchase...haha!  much to my closet dismay and the dismay of my bedroom in general.  I love all things clothes and fashion.  I really could make a living doing this if somehow i could figure out a way to get paid to shop.  Well there is some ways and i will share those later.

I will tell you a little about myself and why i started thrift shopping.  I married young and had 3 beautiful children young.  Like 19 years old young. I wanted to stay home with my kids and being that we were working on providing everything on my husbands income alone in became a necessity.  After awhile though it became fun!  You know how some guys like hunting, well this is like hunting for me, bargain hunting!!  I have now appeared on local tv talking bout thrift shopping and I'm planning on doing many more segments as the host of the show will put me on.  I love to share tips, tricks, and hints.  I love to show outfits that are under $20 and most times they are under $10!

Well enough about me...

I'll start tomorrow with some hints, tips and tricks i discovered along the way on this journey.  I have many ideas that id like to share but thought first id try and give you a little backstory.  In the meantime here is a picture of a recent thrifty outfit.

This entire outfit, boots included, was $3!!!  The tank top is Pink by Victoria Secret which I picked up at Goodwill for $3, the sweater was from a family member who was going to donate it, and the jeans and boots are from a church clothing swap!
